Stoke City are still in talks with Badou Ndiaye over personal terms as they try to complete a deal before Wednesday 11pm deadline, Sky Sports News understands.

Stoke City have agreed a fee of £15m with Galatasaray for the midfielder but discussions are ongoing over the structure of payments in the deal with legal matters still to be resolved.

Club officials are hopeful the deal can be concluded early on Wednesday, ahead of the Premier League fixture against Watford at the bet365 Stadium at 8pm.

Ndiaye, 27, spent Tuesday evening at Stoke's training ground and has completed most of his medical, whilst his representatives negotiate hard on personal terms.

Stoke will not sanction a deal or make any payment until they are sure the player will get international clearance to play in the Premier League.

The Premier League side remain confident they can get approval for Ndiaye to gain a UK work permit, but are anxious to finalise the deal with the player quickly, so that all the paperwork can be completed ahead of the 11pm deadline on January 31.

If the deal goes through, the £15m fee will be the second-highest Stoke have ever paid for a player, after the £18m spent Gianni Imbula two years ago.
