Cardiff City have completed the signing of Bolton forward Gary Madine, subject to international clearance.
Madine, 27, has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Welsh club for an undisclosed fee.
The striker has scored 10 goals in 28 appearances for Bolton in all competitions so far this season.
Newspaper reports claim the fee paid for Madine is the biggest outlay by owner Vincent Tan since Cardiff's Premier League campaign in 2013/14, when the Bluebirds paid £11m for midfielder Gary Medel.
Sky Sports News understands Cardiff were in talks with Bournemouth over a loan move for Lewis Grabban, but a move failed to materialise.
Neil Warnock did complete the loan signing of Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic earlier this month.
