Atdhe Nuhiu has signed a two-year contract extension with Sheffield Wednesday which will keep him at the club until 2020.

The 28-year-old striker is Wednesday's top scorer this season, having scored 11 goals in 28 appearances in the Championship.

"Sheffield Wednesday was the club to open the door for me to come to England and my priority was to stay here," Nuhiu told the club's official website.

"The manager and the club has shown that they want me to stay so there was no doubt that we could find an agreement and I am very pleased with that."

Nuhiu joined the Owls in 2013 as a free agent after parting ways with Turkish side Eskisehirspor.

The striker scored on debut against QPR and has gone on to notch 35 goals for the club, including a memorable FA Cup strike against Manchester City and a hat-trick in a 5-1 win over Norwich.
