Chinese star given second chance at Bramall Lane
Sheffield United have made a U-turn on Li Tie's future, stating the midfielder will remain at the club until the end of the season.
Recent reports stated Blades boss Bryan Robson would allow the 30 year-old to leave Bramall Lane on a free transfer after the player failed to make a mark after another injury-ravaged season last term.
However, United are now keen on getting the Chinese international back to full fitness before evaluating his future.

"The club is still backing him to get fully fit and resume his career that has been hampered by injury," said a statement on the club's website.
"He has still maintained his place in China's squad and, owing to him being unable to play for any other English club due to his work permit, the Blades may well loan him to a Chinese club to enable him to get match-fit ahead of next summer."
Since moving to Bramall Lane from Everton at the start of last season, the midfielder has only managed to make one appearance for the Championship side.
