Duisburg coach Rudi Bommer has revealed that the club have granted striker Ailton a 'baby break'.
The German club have decided to allow the Brazilian to fly to Mexico to be with his heavily-pregnant wife.
Ailton will now miss Wednesday night's German Cup clash with Werder Bremen as well as Saturday's Bundesliga match against Karlsruhe.
"I had expected he would want to fly back to his wife, so we decided to give him a baby break," Bommer told German agency SID.
Ailton has played four games this season, with his side currently second from bottom in the table.
