Colchester midfielder Kevin Watson admits worrying he may have to quit before overcoming a troublesome Achilles injury. Watson made his long-awaited return to the Us side in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Leicester and played for around an hour before being forced off with cramp. The 33-year-old could not conceal his delight after starting his first competitive match for six months. Watson told the Colchester Gazette: "It was just good to be back out there and playing with the boys again. "It's been very frustrating - at one point I did question whether I was going to play again. "I broke down twice but we seem to have cracked it now and the pleasing thing was that my Achilles was good."
