Die Roten to bolster strike-force with Romanian ace
Stuttgart are set to sign Wolfsburg striker Sergiu Radu on a six-month loan deal.
The Romanian striker has failed to hold down a regular first team berth at the VW Arena since joining from Energie Cottbus last summer.
Radu is now looking to revive his career with the Bundesliga champions.
"I can confirm that we have struck a deal with both Wolfsburg and the player Sergiu Radu, but nothing has been signed yet," said Stuttgart's sport director Jochen Schneider.
Radu simply needs to pass a routine medical with the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion outfit before putting pen-to-paper with the club.
The news is a massive boost to Stuttgart boss Armin Veh whose side have struggled for form, particularly with strikers Mario Gomez and Cacau injured going into the winter break.
