Williamson looking to bring in new faces
Five players have been told they can leave League Two outfit Chester.
The names of defenders Phil Bolland, Sean Hessey, Kevin Sandwith and Ashley Westwood, along with midfielder Dean Bennett, have been circulated among other clubs.
They have been told they can move on as Chester boss Bobby Williamson is keen to add to his ranks in the transfer window.
Bennett is currently on loan with Kidderminster, as is Hessey at Macclesfield, while Westwood has returned from a loan spell at Port Vale.
Williamson told the club's official website: "These players need to move on in order to further their careers.
"Some have hardly figured for us this season and others have been loaned out."
Targeted
He added: "I have had a meeting with owner Stephen Vaughan and he is again giving me his financial backing to make the changes I consider are needed
"I have targeted certain players that I would like to bring to the club.
"I would like to emphasise that the players who are currently being utilised on a regular basis are the cornerstone of our future plans, but we need to bolster the squad."
