Defender Gerald Cid looks set to leave Bolton and return to France with Ligue 1 side Nice.

Negotiations with Ligue 1 side Nice are underway

Bolton defender Gerald Cid could be on his way out of England before the end of the month, according to reports in France. The 24-year-old central defender made the move to the Reebok Stadium last summer and has failed to cement a starting place, making just six starts this season. Cid hopes to leave the club before the end of the month despite having three years left on his current contract with the Trotters. L'Equipe have reported that French side Nice are in negotiations that could see Cid secure a three-and-a-half-year deal. The transfer of the former Bordeaux man is expected to be completed in the coming days.
