Spaniard hangs up his boots

Wrexham striker Juan Ugarte has been forced to retire due to injury. A serious knee problem has restricted the 27-year-old to just one appearance this season - the 2-1 defeat at Stockport in September - and requested that his Dragons contract was terminated. Wrexham boss Brian Little said: "He's a really nice guy who has had a tough period. I myself had to retire from football at a similar age to him. "I know he has had a load of injury issues, but I would like to wish him well and hope that it all works out for him." Ugarte, who played over 40 games during two spells at Wrexham and scored 22 goals. is now set to return to his native Spain to continue his rehabilitation.
