Doughty snubs Macc for Stanley

Macclesfield have offered Blackpool defender Phil Doughty a permanent deal at Moss Rose after impressing in a loan spell.

Tangerine joins Accrington

Blackpool's Phil Doughty has snubbed Macclesfield to sign for Accrington Stanley. The 21-year-old defender has been on loan from the Championship side and has made six appearances for the Silkmen. Macclesfield offered him a permanent deal - but he asked for his deal to be cancelled and has since joined Stanley. He is now in line to make his Accrington debut against Brentford on Saturday.
