Dundee United are closing in on the signing of Leicester striker Mark de Vries.
Former Hearts player De Vries is holding talks with United about a short-term deal until the end of the season.
United boss Craig Levein is a big fan of the big striker having worked with him twice before at Hearts and Leicester.
"He's a player I've always liked and circumstances more than anything have made it possible to sign him," said Levein.
"At one stage he was in Martin Allen's plans and playing but Leicester have changed managers and now he's available."
