Midfielder discusses Plainmoor move

Swindon manager Maurice Malpas has revealed that Steve Adams is in talks with Torquay. Adams has struggled to make an impact at the County Ground since a summer move from Sheffield Wednesday. The midfielder has made only six appearances for the Robins and Malpas has admitted the 27-year-old could leave for Plainmoor. "Stevie's contract is up here in a few days so he is well within his rights to have talks elsewhere," Malpas told Swindon's official website. "We offered him a deal to stay until the end of the season but Torquay may offer him a two-and-a half year deal to go down there. "The location is ideal for him, it is closer to his family and he has gone down to Torquay to discuss a move there." Adams began his career with Torquay's Devon rivals Plymouth in 1998 and he went on to make 181 appearances during his time at Home Park.
