Pair join manager's hometown club

Swansea strikers Kerry Morgan and Chad Bond could make their debuts in Spain this weekend after joining FC Balaguer on loan. FC Balaguer is the hometown club of Swans boss Roberto Martinez and the duo could feature on Sunday in the Tercera Division - the fourth tier of Spanish football - if the paperwork goes through in time.

Experience

Martinez told the club's official website: "It will be a great experience for them both. They will learn a completely different approach to the game, technically and tactically, and will be playing against the likes of Barcelona B. "As important players playing abroad, there will be a lot of attention and expectation on them. "Coupled together, it will be a huge boost in their development as young players."
Knowledge
Martinez confirmed that he had received a number of enquiries from his various contacts in Spain about the possibility of sending some of his younger players out on loan. But in the end he opted for the hometown club that his father used to manage and where he started his own career. "I know the chairman and manager at Balaguer very well," Martinez added. "I know Chad and Kerry will be in a safe environment and they will be looked after very well." Morgan, 19, and 20-year-old Bond have been playing for Port Talbot in the Welsh Premier League this season.
