Striker looking to keep new club in Football League

Jefferson Louis admits there was interest from other clubs before he finalised his move to Mansfield Town. The striker has signed a three-month contract with the struggling Stags after leaving Weymouth earlier this month. The former Oxford United forward was keen to return to league football and is aiming to help Mansfield to avoid the drop. "My agent spoke to a few clubs, but the prospect of playing back in League Two is what drew me here," Louis told the Nottingham Evening Post.

Confident

"I am determined to work hard and give my all and help turn things around. "Mansfield are in a bit of a false position at the moment. They have a lot of good players, but sometimes bad results can affect confidence. "I am coming in confident after scoring a few goals at Weymouth and hopefully that can rub off on the rest of the team."
