Mostto returns home

Barnsley have allowed Peruvian striker Miguel Mostto to return home. The 29-year-old arrived at Oakwell in the summer from Cienciano, but he has scored just once in 17 games. Now one of Mostto's former clubs, Coronel Bolognesi, have agreed a deal to take him on loan until the end of the season. "Miguel has been a little unlucky but it is a situation now where we cannot guarantee him as many games as he would like," said Tykes boss Simon Davey. "We had an enquiry from a club in Peru and we have allowed Miguel to go over there and get some football."

Muller

Meanwhile, the club are expecting cruciate knee ligament victim Heinz Muller to return to the club next season. "Heinz had his operation on Thursday and I have spoken to him twice since then. The surgery itself went very well and he will see the specialist again this week for a check-up," said Tykes physio Richard Kay. "Heinz had ruptured his cruciate ligament but, despite initial fears, there was no damage to his lateral meniscus as well which should bring down his rehab time a little bit. "Heinz is very positive about the surgery and he is already doing some physio work in Germany. He will return to us next week for a couple of days so that we can see just how things are going before flying out to Germany again to continue his rehab work."
