Former QPR striker joins until end of season

Stefan Moore has joined Walsall on a contract until the end of the season following his release from Queens Park Rangers. The striker has been on trial with The Saddlers this week and featured for their reserves against Leicester. He has done enough to earn a short-term deal and manager Richard Money is delighted to have brought him in. "Stefan is a very intelligent frontman. I have known him for a long time and know exactly what he is capable of," Money told the club's official website. "I feel that we may have got him at the right time in his career. He is a welcome addition to our squad and this deal will be beneficial to all concerned." 24-year-old Moore began his career with Aston Villa before moving to Loftus Road in 2005. QPR allowed Moore to leave in January and he is now expected to be in the Walsall squad to face Luton on Saturday.
