QPR start summer rebuild

Queens Park Rangers have confirmed that five out-of-contract players will leave the club in June. Sean Thomas, Aaron Goode, Andrew Howell, Stefan Bailey and Matt Pickens will not be offered new contracts with the R's and will depart once their current deals expire. Thomas failed to make a single competitive appearance for the club and had spent time on loan at Bristol City during the 2006/07 season. Goode is another who has failed to make the grade at Loftus Road and featured for non-league Wealdstone earlier in the campaign. Howell made just one outing for Rangers in a league cup tie with Northampton in August 2006, while Pickens was restricted to reserve action after joining the club on a short-term deal in February. Bailey is the most experienced member of the group to be shown the door, as he made 20 first-team appearances after signing professional terms in 20005/06.
