Switzerland have suffered two further injury blows ahead of the Euro 2008 finals.
Coach Jakob Kuhn, who lost striker Blaise N'kufo on Tuesday to a thigh injury, will have to make do without Steve von Bergen after the Hertha Berlin defender fractured a bone in his hand.
Meanwhile, Tranquillo Barnetta will miss Saturday's game against Slovakia with an ankle problem as the joint hosts prepare for this summer's tournament which commences on 7th June.
"Bad luck remains a faithful partner of the Swiss national team," a statement from the Swiss FA said.
