Penney releases trio in end of season clear-out
Darlington have already started to plan for next season having released Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu, John Brackstone and Kevin Burgess.
The trio were all out of contract in the summer and boss Dave Penney has been quick to set about reshaping his squad.
Striker Ndumbu-Nsungu, who rejoined the Quakers from Gillingham in January and scored three goals in 10 appearances, is already attracting interest from elsewhere.
An impressive record of 33 goals from 80 league starts in a well travelled career includes a loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday that yielded nine goals in 20 appearances.
The player's agent, Rob Shield, has confirmed he has fielded enquires from a number of clubs.
"Guylain's goal record speaks for itself, so there has been a few phone calls from clubs in League One and Two looking for a proven goalscorer," Shield told
skysports.com.
"There is also interest from France, where he started his career with Amiens."
Youngster Burgess, meanwhile, made just one senior appearance for the club, in the 2-1 FA Cup defeat at the hands of Northampton in November.
