Rami Shaaban will provide goalkeeping cover for Andreas Isaksson at the finals. The 32-year-old has been a member of the Sweden squad since being given a surprise call-up to the squad for the 2006 World Cup. Shaaban only made his international debut in May 2006 in the friendly draw with Finland he featured in the World Cup game against Trinidad & Tobago. The keeper has gone on to make 13 appearances for his country including four outings in Sweden's successful qualifying campaign for Euro 2008. Perhaps best known for his spell at Arsenal, when Arsene Wenger snapped him up as a potential replacement for David Seaman, he made only three Premier League appearances for Arsenal in 2002 before breaking his leg during training. A loan spell at West Ham followed before he enjoyed a short stint at Brighton. He then moved to Fredrikstad and after two years there he joined Hammarby in February. Shaaban, who was born in Stockholm, turned down the chance to play for Egypt to pledge his allegiance to Sweden.
