Roman Adamov

Roman Adamov is a man who has struggled for form of late but is still a player rated highly by Russia coach Guus Hiddink.
The 25-year-old striker joint-topped the Russian Premier-Liga goalscoring charts with 14 goals in 2007 but has found goals harder to come by this year.
Adamov only made his international debut in March but Hiddink has seen enough in the FC Moskva hit-man to prefer him over the classy and experienced Aleksandr Kerzhakov.
Having started his career with FC Rostselmash Rostov-na-Donu it was in 2001 that he made his professional bow, going on to score three goals in 21 appearances in his debut campaign.
Adamov stayed with FC Rostselmash until 2004, where a move to FC Terek Grozny was followed by a switch to current employers FC Moskva.
It is at Moskva where he has struck by a much-praised understanding with fellow Russia international Sergei Semak, helping himself to 22 goals in his two seasons to date.
