Vormer and Opdam to quit

Ruud Vormer and Barry Opdam have both agreed moves away from AZ Alkmaar. Midfielder Vormer is on his way to Roda, whilst Opdam is signing for Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg. Vormer has agreed a four-year deal with Roda. "They have agreed terms, he has agreed for four years," his father and agent confirmed. 32-year-old defender Opdam is pleased to have sealed his deal. "Salzburg are a team that play European football and that is still the most beautiful thing," said Opdam. "I think that I will still play professional football for three more years and then it will be nice to see some different faces after twelve years at AZ." AZ are also looking to bring players in and one of those could be Czech midfielder Lukas Bajer. The 23-year-old, who plays for Sigma Olomouc, has agreed to a trial with AZ and will hope to impress over the summer. Meanwhile, AZ are in talks about adding Shota Arveladze to their coaching staff. The Georgian legend enjoyed two seasons at AZ but now with Levante, he is looking to move into coaching and has held talks with Louis van Gaal.
