Defender joins Orient on free transfer

Leyton Orient have snapped up Danny Granville from League One rivals Colchester. Granville was released by Colchester at the end of the season following their relegation and Orient have moved quickly to snap him up. The experienced defender is Orient's first signing of the summer and O's boss Martin Ling believes the full-back will prove a valuable addition to the squad.

Pleasing

"It is pleasing to get the first summer signing done and dusted, and especially one of Danny's quality," Ling told the O's official website. "Danny is primarily a left back, but he has also played left-sided centre-half which is important to me as it gives us four quality centre-halves and two quality left backs to choose from. "I think it shows our intentions for next year by bringing in a player of Danny's calibre."
