French midfielder rejects Plymouth's contract offer
Nadjim Abdou has snubbed the offer of a new contract at Championship side Plymouth.
The Frenchman scored two goals in 33 appearances for the Pilgrims last season and Paul Sturrock was keen to keep the 23-year-old at Home Park.
However, the Scottish coach revealed that the club were unable to meet the midfielder's wage demands.
"He has turned us down," Sturrock told the
Herald.
"I'm understanding of the budget I have got to work with and we made a decision on what we thought Jimmy's value was.
"He feels his value is more than that and I'm now looking at other players for that position."
