Defender Robbie Stockdale has moved from Tranmere to Grimsby on a two-year-deal.
The 28-year-old joined Rovers in June 2006 and made more than 80 appearances for the club.
But has now dropped down a league after being deemed surplus to requirements at Prenton Park.
The Scotland international has also played for Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday, West Ham, Rotherham, Hull and Darlington in his long career.
