Defender agrees one-year contract at Saltergate
Chesterfield have agreed a deal to sign former Shrewsbury Town defender Danny Hall.
The 24-year-old is available on a free transfer after spending the second half of last season at Gretna, who have gone out of business.
Hall had joined Gretna from Shrewsbury in January and has now agreed a one-year contract to return to League Two football.
He will sign the deal upon completion of a medical and Chesterfield boss Lee Richardson feels he will be a useful recruit.
Richardson told the club's
official website: "Danny is a versatile player who I have monitored and he has become available due to Gretna's unfortunate demise."
Hall is expected to be a replacemet for Janos Kovacs in the Chesterfield squad after the Hungarian stopper joined Lincoln City.
