Sheffield United to look at winger

Ferencvaros winger Laszlo Fitos has been invited to Sheffield United for a one-week trial. The highly-rated winger turned in an impressive performance as Ferencvaros lost 3-2 in a friendly match against the Blades last week. Kevin Blackwell now wants to have an extended look at Fitos and will give him a chance to earn a deal over the next few days. According to reports in Hungary, there is a good chance that Fitos will be offered a contract and then immediately return to Fernecvaros on loan. Sheffield United chairman Kevin McCabe bought Ferencvaros earlier this year and set up an arrangement between the clubs that includes player exchanges.

Ferencvaros eye Ferenczi

Ferencvaros are also understood to have made a bid for Barnsley forward Istvan Ferenczi. The Hungarian Football Federation's official website has reported the news and a decision could be made in the coming days. Ferenczi has already been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest this summer after falling down the pecking order at Oakwell last season.
