Knill moves to bolster Bury ranks

Skysports.com understands Danny Racchi has secured a deal at Bury after impressing manager Alan Knill in a three week trial. The defender has proved himself in the club's pre-season to date, including a friendly against his former club Huddersfield who released him in the summer. Another Bury trialist Mike Jones, who was released by Tranmere at the end of last season, should complete the formalities of his deal at Gigg Lane over the weekend. Both players expect to be involved in Saturday's friendly against Sheffield Wednesday. Meanwhile, Phil Marsh possibly has his final opportunity to prove himself in the game against The Owls. The former Manchester United and Blackpool striker has scored three goals in four pre-season outings at Bury, including the only goal against Huddersfield.
