Bond swoops for experienced midfielder
Bournemouth have completed the capture of former Bristol Rovers midfielder Sammy Igoe on a free transfer.
The one-time Portsmouth man ended last season on loan with Hereford, but was immediately released by Rovers upon returning to the Memorial Stadium.
Igoe joined The Cherries on trial and clearly did enough to win a contract from manager Kevin Bond, who is looking to secure a swift return to League One.
The 32-year-old, who is now available for Bournemouth's season opener against Gillingham, has penned a one-year deal with the South Coast outfit with a second-year option.
Igoe is Bond's second signing of the summer following the arrival of defender Scott Guyett on a free transfer from Yeovil Town last week.
