Czech ace heads home

Veteran Czech midfielder Tomas Galasek has left Nuremberg and returned to Banik Ostrava. The 35-year-old began his career in his homeland with Ostrava, but left for Dutch side Willem II in 1996. A further spell in Holland with Ajax followed, before he moved on to Germany in 2006. However, following Nurnberg's relegation last season the veteran holding man has decided to go back to his roots. No details have been given as to the details involved in the deal, but Ostrava have confirmed that an agreement has been struck. Galasek has 69 caps for his country but called time on his international career following this summer's European Championship.
