Russian returns home

Russia international striker Ivan Saenko has left relegated Nurnberg to join Spartak Moscow. The Bundesliga Zwei outfit officially confirmed the move on Tuesday. Although no details of the fee involved have been revealed, it is believed that the Bavarian outfit will pocket around €3.2 million for the 25-year-old. Meanwhile, Nurnberg have confirmed reports that they are about to sign Wolfsburg striker Isaac Boakye. The 26-year-old Ghanaian failed to make the grade at the VW Arena following his 2006 move from Bielefeld where he played under current Nurnberg coach Thomas von Heesen.
