O'Leary out for seven months with shoulder problem

Kilmarnock defender Ryan O'Leary is out for up to seven months with a dislocated shoulder. O'Leary suffered the injury during the first half of Kilmarnock's opening SPL game of the season against Hibernian earlier this month. He will undergo surgery on the problem and Killie boss Jim Jefferies admits the 20-year-old faces a battle to return before the end of the campaign. "It's a blow for Ryan and for us," said Jefferies in the Daily Record. "He will be out for six to seven months. "The surgeon reckons he will have to perform open surgery as opposed to the keyhole procedure Ryan had before. "Ryan will do well to return before the end of the season. He is young enough to come back, but this is extremely unfortunate. "He did a lot of work over the summer so he would be right for the season. Unfortunately, he now has to accept he's had this bad injury, get over it and come back."
