Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu has issued a come-and-get-me plea to all Football League and Conference sides after struggling to find a club after being released by Darlington at the end of last season.
The 25-year-old striker is on the lookout for a new club after Quakers boss Dave Penney elected not to offer the player a new deal.
Nsungu, who has played almost 120 games and scored 40 goals in a career that has included spells at Sheffield Wednesday, Preston, Gillingham, Bradford and Darlington, insists he will guarantee goals wherever he ends up.
"I started last season at Bradford on loan and scored enough goals to be offered a deal but cash was tight and the deal fell through," Nsungu told
skysports.com.
"Darlington came in for me to help with their promotion push, again I scored well but was hampered with injury throughout March and April and only came back in the last couple of games."
Frustrating
Nsungu started his career at Amiens in France before moving to the Championship with Sheffield Wednesday in 2003 where his goalscoring was getting the attention of Premier League clubs.
With a record of one in three, and a welath of experience in the Championship, League One and Two, Nsungu admits he is surprised he has yet to find himself a new club.
"I'm only 25, I'm in my prime as a striker and I've scored wherever I've been", he added. "I thought with my experience and record I'd be fixed up by now and seeing the players I know I'm better than makes the frustration harder."
Competition to find a new club is as fierce as ever this summer and while Nsungu would love to continue his career in the Football League, he concedes a move to a Conference club would not be a problem.
"Ideally you want to play at as high a level as possible but I'm just desperate to get back playing again.
"If that's in the Football League or in the Conference then it won't be a problem.
"I have a good scoring record and I know I can score and create goals, it's just a case of getting a club and then I'll take care of the rest ."
