Brazilian makes quick return to France
Lille have confirmed the signing of Tulio De Melo from Palermo on a four-year contract.
The Brazilian striker only joined the Italian outfit this summer but did not feature in the plans of new coach Stefano Colantuono.
The 23-year-old played just one game for Palermo in the Coppa Italia after an impressive three-year spell at Le Mans.
De Melo scored 22 goals in 72 appearances for Lille's Ligue 1 rivals and his new club will be hoping for a similar contribution on his return to France.
His short-lived stay in Italy is the latest saga in a busy summer for De Melo having sparked a transfer dispute between Palermo and Parma by signing a contract with both clubs.
