Dong Fangzhuo insists he has no regrets about his forgetful stint at Manchester United.
Former United striker bears no grudges
Dalian Haichang striker Dong Fangzhuo has revealed he has no regrets about his forgetful stint at Manchester United.
The 23 year-old joined the European champions in January 2004 and spent two successful seasons at United's feeder club Royal Antwerp, scoring 34 goals in 70 appearances.
After obtaining his work permit in December 2006, Dong failed to make an impression on Sir Alex Ferguson and only managed one league appearance.
He was released by United last week but the Chinese striker has no ill-feelings towards the time he spent at Old Trafford.
Priceless
"I am not frustrated about the move back to China. Over the years, many skilful players have left the club," he told the Chinese press.
"It is a rare opportunity for any player to play for United, so I am very proud of my time there.
"The time I spent in Europe was priceless and it was an honour to be able to train with some of the best players in the world."
