West Brom could make another move for Real Mallorca striker Oscar Trejo in January.

Baggies boss continues to track striker

West Brom manager Tony Mowbray could make another move for Real Mallorca striker Oscar Trejo in the January transfer window. Mallorca claimed they rejected a bid for Trejo from the Baggies in the summer as Mowbray looked to increase his attacking options. Trejo's agent, Martan Paledes, also suggested that it would be a 'great opportunity' for the Argentine striker to follow Borja Valero, who left Mallorca for The Hawthorns in August. And Mowbray has now admitted that he remains interested in Trejo, but insists he is not desperate to secure the 20-year-old's services when the transfer window reopens in the New Year. "Trejo is someone we were connected with and we made enquiries about," Mowbray told West Brom's official website. "As far as I know, I don't think he is getting a game with Real Mallorca at the moment. "I'm not sitting here thinking 'wow, he's someone we need to go and get in for January'. That's not the case. "But I'm not going to deny he was a player we looked at and was someone we could potentially bring in."
