Brian Kerr's bid to win a contract at SPL side Hamilton Academical continued on Wednesday.
The former Motherwell and Hibernian midfielder was handed a run-out for the Accies' reserve side as he looks to impress boss Billy Reid.
The 26-year-old, who was released by Hibs in August, played almost an hour of a 4-1 defeat at St Mirren.
Kerr began his career in England with Newcastle, before taking in loan spells at Coventry and Livingston prior to a 2004 switch to Motherwell.
He underwent unsuccessful trial spells at Brighton and Oldham over the summer, while a proposed move to Toronto FC failed to materialise.
Meanwhile, Hamilton centre-half Mark McLaughlin stepped up his rehabilitation from injury during the midweek second string contest.
The defender has not featured for the club since damaging ligaments in the 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock on 23rd August.
