Liechtenstein star would take British move

Liechtenstein goalkeeper Peter Jehle would love the chance to play in England, his agent has confirmed to skysports.com. A host of British clubs, including Manchester United, are reported to be keeping tabs on the Jehle - who currently plays in France for Tours FC. Jehle was hugely impressive for Liechtenstein in their recent 2-0 loss in Wales, when he produced a string of outstanding saves to keep the Welsh at bay - including a penalty stop from Craig Bellamy. Jehle moved to France in the summer after he left Portuguese outfit Boavista because of their financial difficulties. Now Jehle is impressing at his new club and his agent Paul Bollendorff has told skysports.com that he would like the chance to move to Britain. However, Bollendorff denied having any contact from United or any other clubs - but admitted it was not a shock given his recent performances for club and country.

No shock

"We didn't know about that [interest from England], but given how he played against Wales, it isn't a shock," Bollendorff told skysports.com. "We are glad he is doing well at Tours, but obviously he would be glad to have the chance to play in England." Bollendorf also confirmed that 26-year-old Jehle - who has nearly 70 international caps to his name, signed just a one-year deal to play for Tours in the summer. "They already want him to extend his deal, given how well he has been playing," he continued. "We are pleased with how he is doing at Tours, he only joined them to play football after the problems with wages at Boavista."
