Swede wants time to consider City approach

Magnus Hedman claims he has been approached to join Manchester City on loan as cover for the injured Joe Hart. City boss Mark Hughes confirmed earlier on Thursday he had been given permission by the Premier League to bring in a goalkeeper on loan to fill in for Hart. Hart is set to be sidelined for two weeks with the ankle injury he picked up in last weekend's draw with Hull and with third-choice keeper Richard Martin also injured it leaves Hughes short of options between the sticks. Kasper Schmeichel is City's only recognised goalkeeper to face Arsenal this weekend, with 18-year-old Norwegian Tobias Johansen the only fit back-up on the books. Former Celtic and Coventry custodian Hedman admits he wants more time to think over City's approach as he fears he is not fit enough. "They want me to sit on the bench for this weekend's game (against Arsenal), but I need at least two weeks' training," Hedman told www.sportbladet.se. "But my answer of no is not definitive. I need to think about it further."
