Kalonas training with West Brom

West Bromwich Albion are looking at Lithuanian international Mindaugas Kalonas. The 24-year-old is a free agent after he helped Bohemians to the Irish League and Cup double. The much-travelled midfielder, who has already had nine clubs in four different countries, is now hoping to impress Baggies boss Tony Mowbray. Kalonas only featured in a dozen games for Bohemians - but still managed to net an impressive six times. He is also a regular member of the Lithuania side with over 30 caps to his name and recently scored in the World Cup qualifying victory over Romania.

Interest

"It was a big honour for me to play for Bohemians and win the two trophies this season but that was my last match for the club, I have to move on now," he said. Kalonas is now looking forward to his trip to England - although he admits there is other clubs interested including Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade). "I will go to England this week and see what opportunities are there," he said. "I have the chance to go and have a look at the club there but there is interest from other countries too, and Belgrade is something I will consider."
