Sevilla seek to secure midfielder's services
Sevilla are keen to reach an agreement with Adriano which will keep the Brazilian at the club for the foreseeable future.
The midfielder is viewed as an integral part of coach Manolo Jimenez's plans, with the club reluctant to part with talented 24-year-old.
Adriano arrived at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in 2004, completing a switch from Coritiba in his homeland.
He has gone on to help the club claim back-to-back successes in the Uefa Cup and qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
He admits that he is happy in Spain, with his agent set to thrash out a deal with Sevilla over the coming weeks.
"I am very happy in Sevilla because the club have given me the opportunity to be successful in Europe," said Adriano.
While a new contract would appear to be a formality, Adriano did attract interest from England and Italy over the summer and may be a transfer target for a number of clubs during the January transfer window.
