Defender's contract terminated through mutual consent
Valencia defender Ivan Helguera has come to an agreement with the club to have his contract terminated.
The 33-year-old, who joined Valencia from La Liga rivals Real Madrid after eight years at the Bernabeu, has failed to settle at the Mestalla under Unai Emery.
One of the club's highest earners, Helguera's exit will ease the pressure on Los Che who are reported to be struggling financially.
A statement on the club's
official website read: "Valencia football club and Ivan Helguera have reached an agreement to cancel the contract which linked both parties.
"Valencia want to declare their best wishes for Ivan Helguera's personal and professional future and highlight his good behaviour for this club until the final day."
