Brighton vice-captain eyes January move

Brighton have been rocked by the news that vice-captain Steve Thomson wants to leave the club during the winter transfer window. The former Falkirk and Peterborough midfielder has informed manager Micky Adams he is keen to return home to Scotland as his family has not settled on the South Coast. Although Brighton's poor run of results has seen them slide to just a point above the drop zone, Adams claims Thomson's desire to leave is not linked with the club's lowly position. "Steve came to see me a while ago to tell me him and his family couldn't settle in England and he has expressed a desire to return to Scotland in January," Adams told The Argus. "He hasn't spat his dummy out because of our results. His family haven't settled."
