Experienced midfielder Micah Hyde has linked up with Gillingham in an attempt to earn a contract. The 34-year-old has been looking for a new club since being released by Peterborough at the end of November. He has had a long career, making nearly 600 professional appearances in total. Hyde has spent time at Cambridge, Watford and Burnley and now hopes to impress on a trial period with Gillingham. He will play in a reserve game against Queens Park Rangers at Priestfield on Wednesday, when forward Dennis Oli is to make his return after three months out with a foot injury.
