Striker joins up after impressing in win at Villa

Bristol City have agreed a deal to sign MSK Zilina striker Peter Styvar, according to the Slovakian club. The 28-year-old forward, who scored in Zilina's 2-1 Uefa Cup win over Aston Villa last month, has reportedly penned a contract until 30th June 2011. The transfer fee is understood to be around £750,000. Zilina's sports director Karol Belanik said: "We have respected his (Styvar's) desire to experience playing football abroad and would like to thank him for his efforts when playing for Zilina." The Slovakian, who is understood to be training with his new team-mates ahead of Saturday's FA Cup clash at Portsmouth, has scored five goals in domestic football so far this season. He also spent a spell at Ashton Gate on trial last month. Bristol City have yet to comment on the deal.
