Proven goalscorer joins Robins to try and fire them into Premier League
Slovakian striker Peter Styvar has joined Bristol City from MSK Zilina for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year-old underwent a successful trial at Ashton Gate and has now penned a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Championship outfit.
The player was recently in the public eye when he scored in the Slovakian club's shock 2-1 away victory over Aston Villa in the group stages of the Uefa Cup.
City manager Gary Johnson told the club's
official website: "I've brought Peter here to be a goalscoring forward in the Championship for us. You can never have enough of them on your books competing for places.
Different
"He's a different type of striker to those already on our books and people will see that.
"He is a predator who has scored goals throughout his career and he's done very well for his club (Zilina) for the past couple of seasons."
