Hearts look to bolster forward line with Cameroon's Meyong-Ze

Hearts are reportedly interested in bringing Sporting Braga striker Albert Meyong-Ze to Tynecastle. Manager Csaba Laszlo is keen to add to his strike force after forward Juho Makela was recently ruled out until March. The news means that Laszlo has just two fit strikers at his disposal in Christian Nade and youngster Gary Glen. Meyong-Ze has scored six goals in 14 league appearances for Braga this season and five times in the Uefa Cup. The Jambos have been monitoring the striker's progress for the past three months and sent scouts to watch the player in action in the 1-0 defeat to Benfica at the weekend.

Goalscorer

The Braga hit-man has scored goals where ever he has gone and has enjoyed a spell in Spain with Levante and Albacete in a career which has also seen him lift the Portuguese Cup in 2005 for Vitoria Setubal where he scored the winner. "There are always rumours about my future but I haven't spoke to anybody," Meyong-Ze told the Sunday Mail. "The decision lies with Braga. I prefer to speak about reality but British football is beautiful." As for Makela, the 25-year-old was only meant to missing for a month after injuring his ankle ligaments in mid-December. Now the Finnish forward is set to be out for twice as long but he remains upbeat. "I managed to avoid an operation but my rehabilitation will be six to eight weeks," he said.
