Reid thrilled to sign former Gretna striker

Hamilton have snapped up striker Kenny Deuchar on a short-term deal until the end of the season. Deuchar left Gretna for Major League Soccer side Real Salt Lake last year but he has now returned to Scotland. The 28-year-old could make his Hamilton debut against Kilmarnock on Sunday if the Scottish Football Association receives the necessary international clearance and documentation from the US Soccer Federation in time. Accies boss Billy Reid has been tracking Deuchar for some time and is thrilled to have captured him. Reid believes Deuchar's aerial prowess will prove vital in the coming months as Hamilton look to build on a run of three wins in four SPL games. "I am delighted to finally sign him at the third time of asking," Reid told the Evening Times. "He will provide us with something we don't have up front. "We are going well right now and the timing of Kenny's arrival is perfect from that point of view and will, I hope, keep our positive momentum going."
