The Stadio Via del Mare outfit are just two points above third-from-bottom Torino in the Italian top-flight standings.
However, for their crucial match against Torino this weekend head coach Mario Beretta will be able to call upon Edinho.
A statement on Lecce's
website read: "Lecce would like to confirm the transfer of Edinho on a permanent basis.
"The player joins from Internacional Porto Alegre and he will be unveiled to the press on Thursday."
